Easter Concert – Requiem by Mozart

Mozart’s Requiem is a monument to the human condition. On the one hand, its origins contain the essential ingredients of a best-selling novel: the unconditional devotion of a genius to his art, concealed identities, conspiracy, death… in this case through the musical genre most directly associated with it. Yet it is also sublime music that moves us deeply. With all its beauty, it crosses the thresholds of our understanding with steady steps. What emerges is a reflection on existence, hope, overcoming adversity, mystery, and the meaning of life. Opening the concert, we have the opportunity to discover Pedro Lima’s new orchestral composition Dance Steps: as when dancing is all that remains.
