The Woman and Other Guitars
A fado singer of singular voice and striking presence, Ana Sofia Varela returns to the stage with a new project celebrating women and the Portuguese guitar.
In this concert at the Centro Cultural de Belém, the artist offers a reunion with her roots and with the sounds that have shaped her career — now revisited through the lens of new artistic maturity. The performance will feature several guest musicians who also take part in her upcoming album — a collection of new works and traditional fados, arranged with a balance of delicacy and daring, memory and discovery.
